Abstract

The present article arises from the need to retrace the history, never written until now, of transplants in Italy. This theme is indissolubly linked to Sapienza University of Rome and, in this article, we also reveal a series of historiographical errors handed down to the present day. Finally, we analyze the legislative evolution and the contextual bioethical debate in a continuous pursuit of science, tension and morals.
